About painting ceramics
Do I need to book?
A reservation is always recommended, we cannot always accommodate walk-ins.
How does painting work?
We recommend reserving a time slot. Each slot gives you 2.5 hours at your own workspace. At the beginning of every session, we provide a short introduction with all the important information you need for painting. After that, you’re free to let your creativity flow and paint as many pieces as you like. While painting, you can relax and chat with your friends, family, or date, making the experience even more enjoyable. During your visit, we’ll also be happy to spoil you with delicious treats from our bar.
When you’re finished, simply hand in your painted pieces. We’ll take them to our studio for glazing and firing. Once your ceramics are completed, we’ll send them straight to your home.
Payment is made on-site.
How expensive is painting?
A reservation at nebu is free of charge. You only pay the all-inclusive price of the individual ceramic pieces.
Ceramic prices range from CHF 28 to CHF 67, with most pieces costing around CHF 40. The price of the ceramic piece includes paints, the use of all tools, glazing and firing, as well as postal shipping of all pieces to one address per table. If shipping to multiple addresses is desired, an additional CHF 10 per extra address applies.
While you paint, we’ll spoil you with treats from our bar. Food and drinks are not included in the ceramic price.
How long does it take to get my piece back?
10-14 days, it can take up to 3 weeks. You’ll get it right to your doorstep.
Can I also pick it up?
Yes, you can. During your stay just let someone from the team know and we’ll make it happen.
Can I book for a group?
Of course! Bookings for up to 8 people you can do online, for bigger groups we will organise via email.
Can I stay longer than 2.5 hours?
If bookings allow, you can on occasion stay longer. If you would like to paint longer, we would kindly suggest for you to paint at home, so you can finish your ceramic piece in your own time. Here you can find the details.
Are the colors safe?
Yes. All glaze paints are non-toxic and food-safe. If any paint gets on your clothing, it can be easily rinsed out with water.
